No, you can’t force the update. Put your AirPods in their case, plug it to a power source, leave your iPhone/iPad near the airpods for 20-30 min, and hope it will update by then

My Airpod Pros did update, but setting up find my does not work. :/
Same, mine updated yesterday but it does not work with FindMy. I'm on iOS 15.1 beta 3 but I read it should still work on that.

EDIT: Re-pairing the AirPods worked

Got the update on both my Airpods Pro and Find My works on them! Super cool! Hope the next Airpods will get the U1 chip.

Thanks for the re-pair tip! Did the trick for me. Find My wouldn’t work for them, but after re-pairing both Pro and Max it works flawlessly!
