As the title suggests, one of my AirPods Pro developed a rattling driver (classic "blown" driver effect) after a 90-minute flight.
The units are from the initial release, have been performing perfectly (including over a dozen other flights including four transpacific flights) and have had no problems until now.
The problem began with a slight "clicking" while walking after leaving the aircraft, and turned in to a full-blown rattle and a -10 dB level loss while speaking on the phone or listening to anything with any kind of bass element.
I scheduled an appointment at my local Apple store, where the affected unit was replaced (the other earpiece was not replaced). The replacement came out of a sealed box containing one single unit, so it's obvious that each part of the total system is packaged separately and it isn't their policy to replace both when one goes bad. Interesting.
I do have AppleCare for the system.
