Hi fellow Apple fans ! I just bought a AirPods Pro and it’s so odd that the Case kept draining even though the AirPods Pro’s themselves are 100% , even if I charge them to a 100 they will never stay a 100 with zero use in a day and kept drawing , I used them for about 4-5 hours and the battery case would have dropped below 50 by then . Help Guys !! I went I Apple Genius Bar and they agreed to change the case for me but I’m still facing the same issues here !

Howdy LordSilverback,

I have experienced a mysterious drain on both a pair of the original AirPods, and on my AirPods Pro (just this morning). What happens to me is that one of the AirPods (not the case) will drain instead of charge. So I go to use them, and one of the pods has a flat battery. With my original AirPods, I went to the Genius Bar, and they swapped out the pod, but the problem didn't go away. They then replaced the case, and the problem still came back. I have determined this happens when either the charging contacts on the pods themselves, or in the case get "dirty," they cause the discharge behavior you and I have seen. The solution is to take some Isopropyl Alcohol and clean both sets of contacts, and let them dry. I hope with the newer AirPods 3, and whatever replaces the AirPods Pro, solve this design issue. Good luck!

Hi people, this is my very first post on the Mac rumors forum actually. But as I also experienced this issue just now I had to do some searching.

I just went out and put in my AirPods Pro and by surprise they were entirely empty (both pieces and the case). This never happend before. I didn’t use them for a couple of days but I know they weren’t almost empty the last time. thd case at least would’ve had enough left to charge them 1 cycle. I also didn’t got a battery warning the last time, and even if I got it, I normally am still able to open them after a few days and use them for about a few hours.

I have the newest firmware installed.
Did the new firmware fixed it for you guys? It came out after your posts.

I hope this doesn’t happen to often in the future.

I had the same issue with my new Airpods pro. The case’s battery keep draining with zero use. Did you still have this issue with replacement case from Apple?
