What are the best practices people are following here to charge their Airpods Pro case ?

Do you guys do the same thing as in an iPad that not let the battery fall below 10% and not charge more than 95% or otherwise what do you guys do ?

Also if you guys charge wirelessly which wireless charger do you guys use ?

Cheap no name wireless chargers re doing it for me for a long time now. No problems.

I personally don’t follow any charging rule on the internet. Time and time again these forums show us that batteries with best care behave pretty much the same as those who are just charged when needed.

On top of that I’m convinced that these AirPod batteries will be done in 2-3 years max with my use case, at that time they will need replacement.

Can you name or please put the link of the charger you got ? How much times does it take for your Airpods Pro to get fully charged ?

I use either one of the standard Apple original charging cubes - have loads lying around the house - or I purchased a charger to plug in multiple USB devices when we travel, that I live on the dresser in our bedroom.
I generally wait until I see the little light on the charging case turn yellow when I take the AirPod Pros out of the case. If it is yellow/amber, that means there is less than one full charge remaining in the case. So when I put the AirPods back in I will plug the case into the charger.

That's completely false. There are enough threads on here that show how the 20-80 rule for example greatly enhances battery longevity. My 6 year old MBP has 91% left on its original battery, my 7 year old iPad Air has 92% left.

That being said, I see no practical way to keep airpods between 20 and 80% charging level for most of the time.

I am simply stating what I observed more than once. There hardly is a telling study covering battery health across iPhone models and I don’t think even Apple five percentage advice either. Apple has pretty good batteries in my experience which leads to long product life.
Some get there with taking great care some get there without. Both can be found on these boards, no problem.

The pad itself has a print on it saying Powerport, no idea where my wife got those from. Similar to the round charging pads from Anker but not as pretty as the Anker:

I usually have the case partially bathed and leave it on the pad over night.

Yep, the one you linked is what I use to power my iPhone, AirPods Pros, and AirPods 2. Been workin fine for awhile now.

To the OP - it is really hard to control charge level on these things without really going out of your way. My AirPods 1 were still going strong a year later, and my family are using them now. If I remember reading right, iOS 14 will have the ability to do optimized charging for these things like the iPhone.

my other problem is since now I am using a wireless charger, the pad kind of thing. It is also very difficult to know what percentage of battery your AirPods Pro has charged.

The only control you really have is deciding when to charge the case. I charge it at around 30%. The Airpods themselves will always be at 100%, unless of course you choose not to put them back in the case.

That said, I think the Airpods batteries hold up quite well. My first gen Airpods given to my son probably 2yrs ago now. They still play for 4-5hrs according to him, as is my Airpods 2 with wireless charging case. Considering that they're always kept sitting at 100%, and given the tiny batteries in them, I think it's quite remarkable.

I'm finding that the Airpods Pro requires charging less often from just sitting. I haven't charged them in 2 weeks and they're still at 74%. The regular Airpods drain noticeably faster from sitting, from what I'm seeing.

Another thing to point out is that brand new Airpods straight from the box, they're not at 100%. The Airpods Pro I bought 3mos ago were at 75% (the Airpods themselves, the case was at 60% IIRC). So Apple is able to disable charging during manufacturing. It'd be nice if they enable that function to the end user.
