Out of nowhere, it just died. Wont charge, no LED, no sign of life. Reset button does nothing. They are a couple months out of warranty. Anyone run into this issue and did Apple do the right thing? Thanks.
This doesn’t sound like your issue, but I had an AirPods Pro case which needed to be replaced after about 6 months. The left side stopped charging. I looked at the little electrodes at the bottom and they were not gold but looked so dark they were almost black. I think they were rusted out from me putting in my sweaty AirPods immediately after running on hot summer days.
Since they were still within the 12 month limited warranty, Apple replaced the charging case.

Appreciate the reply. I’m surprised to find that the Apple Online Store doesn’t have them for sale. Surely people are losing or breaking these often enough to offer a replacement, right?

Yeah, my daughter lost her charging case to her AirPods Pro’s while walking off an airplane. She was wearing her AirPods so she only needed the case. She was able to order one via the Support app on her iPhone. Apple will only sell you one if you have the serial number attached to your iCloud account.
