Yes got the update AP Pros. Haven’t checked if the auto connect issues with my MBP are resolved. Sound sounds the same.

Just did the update. Listening on my iMac and will switch automatically to my iPhone 12 when I tap Play in the Music app. But if I go back and click Play on the iMac they will not switch back automatically. There is a notification on the iMac with the option to CONNECT and that will then switch it back to the iMac.
Have not tried switching between my Apple TV 4K and my iPad mini 5 and the iPhone 12 yet.

Hi, anyone else having issues getting their AirPods Pro upgraded? I feel like I have tried everything and followed every instruction I could find online (including resetting, forgetting, repairing etc.), but mine are still stuck on 3A283... ?‍♂️

If you get the firmware info from Settings :: Bluetooth :: <your AirPods name> :: i-button, you can tap on the version number and see the case firmware rev level. I think that’s new. Mine is 1.9.1 before the new update.

Also tap on the serial number to cycle through Case, Left and Right serial numbers.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately it still didn't trigger the update, but I'll keep trying later. ? My version number for the case is 1.0.5 (and I'm still on 3A283 for the AirPods)... ?‍♂️

EDIT: Now, all of a sudden I got 3E751 and 1.0.8 for the case…

Does your case also say that it was assembled in Vietnam? I was just thinking about why our version numbers are so different (with yours being 1.9.1 and mine 1.0.8)…

Mine haven't updated yet, but my current case version is 1.0.5 (Assembled in China). Australian model.

I'm not sure, but i've never seen information about optimized charging and the ability to postpone it... could someone without the update confirm that?

Guys but is is it advisable to update to this Firmware ? What if there is an issue with the BASS degrading and the Noise Cancellation degrading like it happened in the last to last Firmware ? Hence I am a bit skeptical about this firmware ! what do you suggest ? is there difference in BASS or ANC ?

I don’t really think you have a choice as they will upgrade themselves at some point even if you don’t want them to upgrade

Optimised charging was there, but I don’t think I’ve noticed the ability to postpone it? Not sure. I’ll see if I have a chance at peeking at it before the firmware upgrade happens…

You have no choice iirc - it’ll automatically upgrade anyway.

Just now I put the AirPods in my pocket for over an hour then it was updated.
Not sure if it is placebo but the (automatic switching) connection speed seems faster now.

Well for some reason by auto switching is not working. It worked before when iphone was on 14.5 beta and ipad was on 14.4.2 but now i have to manually go and swipe down to choose the airpods. It's set to auto on both devices

These case version numbers don’t appear to make any sense whatsoever. It would be nice if someone could shed some light on that, you know, just for geeky purposes ?

For me this update still didn't fix the problem with microphone. Have read HERE people and report this to AppleSupport on twitter if you got the same problem as me and other people.
