I can't figure out a good fit with the Airpods Pro. With past earbuds, I either put them inside the ear canal or rested them in the larger cavity of the ear in front of it (just looked up some ear anatomy images but couldn't find what this cavity is called - it's the space from which the ear canal branches off). With the Airpods Pro, I can either use the L tips and they're still too small to give a good fit in that larger cavity (not snug), and when I use small tips to shove them into the ear canal, I can't do that because it's not long enough and the long "handle" that dangles down starts touching my ear and prevents me from pushing them in further. So I think I'm going to have to get either longer small tips or bigger large tips.

Questions: does anybody else have this issue or are my ears just weird? If you don't have this issue, how are you wearing your Airpods Pro: with the tip shoved inside the ear canal or are they just sitting in that cavity from which the ear canal branches off?

Thanks for any advice you might have for me!

I used to work with a headset at a call center awhile back. The headset ear piece was form fitted via a wax that was dropped in your ear and cooled to form properly. A buddy had issues with the pods when it first came out and used that wax and placed his pods in it so it basically form fitted his ear and the pods. It looks a little funny if you look up close cause they stick out a bit more then normal wear but they don't fall out and sound clarity is still good. Something to think about option wise. I think he got the wax off amazon.

I just could not maintain a good seal with my APPs and returned them, shame as apart from fit they’re a classy product.

I tried fitting them every which way and watched plenty of how-tos on YT. Sometimes one pod would get a green tick in the ear fitting app, but only when I pushed the pod right into my ear, then the same would happen to the other one. Neither pod stayed in, even if I was just chewing on food - imagine if I were riding a bike. And yes I tried all three sizes in turn.
