so, i have been having a very weird problem since owning my Airpods Pro and i finally got fed up and contacted Apple support.
the problem: sometimes (maybe 33% of the time), i will put the AirPods in their case and after coming back 30-60 minutes later, i'll come back and they will not appear to have charged at all.
last week, i got on chat with Apple Support and they suggested i replace my battery case (after having done multiple resets and have the phenomenon happen over the course of a 60 minute chat).
well, i received the new case and that didn't fix the problem. i hopped onto support again, and this time they sent me two new Airpods Pro (left and right). and you guessed it: that still didn't fix the problem.
yet, what i didn't realize until i received the replacement case (i don't know why i didn't notice), and also now with the new AirPods is that while the battery level reports that it hasn't changed, it actually is likely charging and the meter isn't accurate.
e.g., today, i put my AirPods in the case with 68/72% charges. 25 minutes later, i took them out and they still showed 68/72%. i then used them for 40min, and low and behold, after that use, the battery level (reported by both my mac and iPhone) showed 68/72%. i put them in the case and came back 30min later and they both show 100%. also, i should note that during that first 25 minute "charge," the battery level in the case dropped.
anyone else seen this and have any solution?
