AirPods Pro! Is this the end of standard aipods?

As title will Apple phase out the normal airpods or will they continue as 2 separate products. I don’t like full in ear phones like the new airpods pros.

The iMac didn't die when the iMac Pro came along. Same for iPad and iPad Pro. Same with MacBook (Air) and MacBook Pro, iPhone 11 and 11 Pro
I think it's safe to assume they're two separate products. Otherwise it'd just be the third generation AirPods

Given the large price difference I would say they will continue to sell the original style.

If Apple was phasing out the other AirPods they almost definitely would've killed them and replaced them with these instead of naming these Pro.

Given that the original AirPods sold insanely well and a lot of those customers probably aren't willing to spend an extra $90 for their replacement pair I have to think they'll keep the two different price points. You never know though.

Audio sharing is sending one audio stream to two sets of AirPods, so you and a friend who both have AirPods in can listen to the same audio from the device.

They’ll keep them. Not everybody is keen on ANC, or in ear, so theyd Be daft to get rid of them.

Apple mentions the “AirPods family” so I highly doubt it.

I just ordered the 2nd generation Airpods today after this announcement. Not because of price or anything, just because I love the original Airpods, I have no use for the Pro or any of the Pro features..

Nah the original AirPods are here to stay for lower budget purses. I predict in a couple years the standard AirPods 4 or 5 will have the same features as the AirPods Pro 1 now while the Pro will keep evolving just like the iPad / iPad Pro lineups.

I ordered the Airpods Pro but I will also keep the Airpods 2 as well. Best of both worlds.

Definitely Apple has expanded the product line with a new high end model. The AirPods 2 will stay as is until next year some time when they get upgraded (my prediction).
