AirPods Pro (left) distorts with 13 Pro Max, but not with MBP. Help!

My left AirPods Pro today, out of the blue, started distorting with my 13 Pro Max. However, when I pair it with my MBP, it works just fine. I tried unpairing them from the iPhone, resetting, and repairing, but it did not fix the issue. Any ideas of a resolution?

As the phone seems to be the culprit, restart the phone.

Never mind. It does it on the MBP too. I just didn't turn the volume up enough.
