Am I missing something or is it a bit dumb of me to even consider the 3?

If sound quality is no.1 priority should Pros be better, or is it possible the 3s are newer and sound has improved again?

Maybe retailers are just clearing out old AirPods Pro stock before the new SKU with MagSafe charging case kicks in, which won’t be discounted as much?

Depends. Are you ok with silicone tips and ANC? Lots of people (myself included) aren’t and the AP3’s are a godsend

That's the thing, I've never had ANC in any earphones before. I do have both AirPods 2 and PowerBeats Pro at home.. never really bothered me the difference between the two types.

I never really tested them side by side with the same music until just now.. I am REALLY surprised!

Always thought the PowerBeats Pro were supposed to have the better sound but.. actually the AirPods 2 sound richer. Weird as!

This is my feeling .... the current APPs are around £190 in Amazon and John Lewis here. I think the version with magsafe charging will be back up to £200+ when they get stock

Yes, you're missing something.

Not everyone likes AirPods Pro. I bought a set on launch and couldn't get on with them. I struggled to get a decent seal with any of the tips and I just didn't find them comfortable so I sent them back after just over a week and carried on with my original AirPods.

I bought the cheaper non MagSafe version of the Pros a couple of days ago. I don’t see myself needing MagSafe for them as I have the Belkin 3 in 1 wireless MagSafe charger where the AirPods rest on the base for wireless charging and don’t need the MagSafe capability.

@ Mr. C

How much were the ones u bought? I just got the non MagSafe version Pro’s from Walmart for $197.00 plus tax. Everywhere else I’ve seen them for $249.00.
