AirPods Pro w/ iOS 16.2 announces area code only?

Is there a way to have the phone number read back rather than just the area code on incoming calls? Right now it just says "Call from someone with a 609 area code". I could have sworn it read back the phone number fully in earlier versions of iOS. Can anyone confirm this?
