AirPods Pro Warranty Replacement (Tip Question)

Just got a replacement pair due to 2C54.

Can I swap all 3 tips out for new? Does Apple expect to get back 2 clean sets and one used set? Someone on Reddit mentioned getting charged for leaving the tips out of the box with return.

As of now, I have the old pair boxed up with the old medium tips. Sometimes I use small tips, so ideally I would like to swap those for new as well before I send back. Can I keep all of them as backups?

None of the included instructions discuss what to do with the spare tips, including but not limited to either pack in pamphlet or the charge authorization form.

If they didn’t tell you to send them back. Keep them. In my experience, Apple is very specific about what they want returned.

they charged me a 200 hold but told me not to send the old ones back, is that normal?
