My AirPods Pro keeps disconnecting from my devices, including iPhone, iPad and MacBook Air.

I’d be listening to them at the gym via the iPhone, finish and go for a shower and when I put them back in, it doesn’t connect automatically to my iPhone. I have to manually connect them by tapping them in control centre.

I’m not even talking about automatically switching between devices. They won’t stay connected to one device. During this time, I have not turned on any other device.

I have all the latest software and firmware in my devices and have unpaired and repaired numerous times.

I got the AirPods Pro on launch day. Time for a new pair or wait for AirPods Pro 2?

It may be that the cans are getting confused by other people's iPhones at the gym. Does this happen when you are at home by yourself? My AirPods Pro will get confused whether to connect to my iMac or my iPhone sometimes. I have to manually set the pairing in settings to straighten it out. It's as if it's paired, but the sound doesn't work.

Yes it happens when I’m at home alone. It never used to happen when I first got the airpods.
I’ve read that this is to do with bugs in iOS 14.5.1 and 14.6?
