AirPods Student discount (UK uni days)

Any idea when the Airpods will be given a discount? When they were first released a few people reported they got a discount, but Apple took them off again. Isn't it a few months or so before new products get discounted?

Some poducts never become edu-discounted and I think the AirPods will be one of them.
I think, but could also be wrong, the watch and iPhone also never got an education discount as there's no real educational(-exclusive) usecase for these kind of products.

I managed to get an order in the first 5 minutes which had educational discount. This wasn't the case 5 minutes later when my sister ordered hers as it was a mistake but mine was honoured at £142.80. Seeing as they have actively reversed a decision to provide a discount, I doubt they'll be discounted again in future.
