AirPods Suitable for Video?

The only thing holding me back from buying AirPods as soon as they come out is that I must know whether they are suitable for video. Even the expensive Jaybirds are not suitable for video as they have significant latency.

I just hope I can watch video lag-free on my iPad 3rd generation and iPhone 6.

Has anyone read any reviews where they discuss video watching?

Are the jaybirds Bluetooth 4.1?
I looked on Amazon but didn't find the answer.
I haven't noticed any latency problems on any of my 4.1 earbuds/headphones and I've bought some pretty cheap ones. I use them almost exclusively for watching videos.
