Hi all,

I just received my AirPods today (2gen wireless charging case). I really like them so far, the only thing that bothers me is the tone you get when you put them in your ears to indicate it’s connected. The volume of that tone is not controllable as far as I can tell, and it’s quite loud for me. I have pretty sensitive ears so I play things at quite a low volume.
The tone is not so loud that it hurts my ears but it is quite jarring and since the only way to active them is to put them in, there is no way to avoid it (like I often do by not putting on my Bluetooth over ear headphones until it‘s stopped speaking).

Anyone know if there is a way to either control the volume of that tone or switch it off altogether? I tried googling and searching this forum but it’s one of those things that is very hard to find, maybe I need different terminology.....
