I just received my USB-C AirPod Pro 2. One thing I noticed is the volume does not go as loud. My lightning AirPod Pro 2s were bought about 10 months ago.

I did a test so I could share audio with both sets. Made sure that all the settings were the same. Turn off all noise cancellation, turn off adaptive audio, etc. I placed one AirPod from my lighting set in one ear and USB-C in the other ear. I could tell that my older one was significantly louder and then I adjusted the volume of the new ones to match the loudness of the old one and I am attaching a screen shot of the volume difference.

Anybody else noticed this?

Have you noticed any difference between the two versions in terms of audio quality?
The one reason I returned the AirPod Pro 2’s (lightning version) and went back to my regular non-pro AirPods was because the AirPod Pro 2’s have a head pressurizing thump that is audible or rather felt when walking that drove me crazy. They were also uncomfortable for all day-use such at work which is where I wear my AirPods pretty much all day for about 8 hours.

Any improvement in that regard with the new USB C AirPod 2’s? How many hours a day do you have your AirPods plugged into your ears?

Hi,
this french Youtuber had made some measurements and he says there is no difference: 03:20
He shows some graphs.
(and he is aware of the change of acoustic chamber, he talks about that in the intro)
