I don't know if I am the only one having this issue, and I can't seem to find the fix. Every time I get my Airpods V1 replaced by Apple, the same issue happens back to back and that is the microphone keeps failing. Once in awhile it will work for 1 or 2 hours, but after that it will continuously fail. I had countless replacements, and now my warranty is up and I am having the issue again. I am using an Iphone 7 with the Airpods, but the same issue happens when it is paired with any other device. I have performed resets, repaired the device and the issue just keeps happening. I use the Airpods lightly, and it still looks brand new. Anything I can do to get the mic to work again since it does work once in awhile. I am thinking its a possible glitch or software issue that I am not aware of. I am also using the latest IOS.

Update: As of today the airpods are working again. They were not working for several weeks/months. The only thing I did was swap my airpods from my iphone to my ipad, and back to my iphone.

Update: Nevermind! When I activate Siri, there was a massive delay, and the airpods kept disconnecting, so I repaired the airpods again to my iphone and the mic failed once again....I give up :(
