I use an Android - galaxy s7edge - (yes I'm that person) and have the 2nd gen airpods.
The volume worked fine and I've had these pair from around June 2019 or something. But yesterday the volume suddenly went way lower than usual, and I have to raise the volume all the way until I receive a warning from my phone (for too high of a volume) to listen at a normal volume.

And Yes, I've tried the following:
- unpairing and pairing
- forgetting and repairing
- unpairing, lowering volume to 0, pairing (same for forgetting and repairing)
- completely restarting my phone
- resetting my airpods (until the red light flashed 3 times etc)
- going into developer mode (I was already in it...) to disable absolute volume
- Re-doing the step above

I'm not not sure what else I can do... does anyone know any other ways?
