Hello - I’m pretty new to airpods. I was debating getting ones with a wireless case vs the regular ones. I wanted to know, has anyone tried the wireless ones you get on Amazon? I mean the third party type ones?

Anyone try those vs the apple ones? I have a bunch of wireless chargers in my house so seems worthwhile getting a wireless case, but given what other people say here, who knows if it’s compatible.

I think that you are misunderstanding things, one thing is the AirPods case and the other a wireless charging base. AirPods use the Qi standard so you can use whatever charging base you want but there is only an AirPods case provided by Apple, so no third party.

It’s entirely possible I’ve misunderstood. Thanks for pointing out if so. Although I thought something like this adds wireless charging rather than just supporting the apple version?

Oh ok, now I understand you. If you are going to buy the new AirPods, better buy the ones with the wireless charging case, more convenient and less bulky than this adapter that you linked.
