AirPods with M1 MacBook Air?

I have an issue where the Bluetooth headphones I have aren't very good when on phone calls on my M1 Air.

I was looking at picking AirPods for this reason (among others). Are the AirPods mic clear for calls/zoom calls through the M1 Air?

I've never had any complaints about the sound quality when I've done Zoom meetings with them. And definitely no complaints when taking regular phone calls with them, which I do multiple times per day.

Sound quality is good for the AirPods Pro on the M1. I don't have the stand version pods.

They work well for me. I use AirPods, AirPod Pros, and AirPod Max. They have an increasing capability for isolation and also improved sound, but the overall quality of the AirPods is great. I still use them because they do not make me feel isolated from the surroundings and sound great. They are optimum for calls unless you are in a noisy place, then the Pros are better. The Max make me feel too isolated for calls.
