I'm running into an issue with my AirPods 2 with my iPhone 13 Pro Max where the party I'm calling cannot hear me, although I can hear them. Instead, they hear a loud buzzing (as reported by a few of these individuals). If I hang up and call back, the AirPods work as expected. If I try to switch quickly from AirPods to iPhone or Speaker mode, they still cannot hear me. This occurs about half the time I try to make calls.
My AirPods are also connected to my iMac (2017), and the phone and iMac are on the same desk. I never have this issue with the iMac when using the AirPods with Zoom/Teams calls.
I've tried repairing the AirPods with the phone, but that did not help.
This likely relates to Bluetooth switching between devices, but it doesn't seem normal. I haven't seen anyone else report this issue, so I'm not sure if this is a widespread issue.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
