Back in 2021 I went through an interesting exercise relating to how well we could hear. My wife and I had not long turned 80 years of age and by then had certainly become aware that our hearing was not as sharp as it used to be - often asking people to repeat what they had just said. his came to a head when our children and grandchildren, when visiting would always complain “the television is too loud!” So, off my wife went to Amplifon and paid over £4000 for a set of hearing aids tailored to her apparent needs! Je doesn’t listen to me when I told her that my research into the option of using EarPods was possibly just as good and a lot,lot cheaper! I already owned a pair of AirPods Pro and after quite a bit of research went down the route of configuring them for best use by someone who has a hearing problem. Well the results were amazing! - first I used the Mimi app to establish a hearing profile & then applied that profile via the AirPods set up process. Then when testing I tried “Transparency Mode” - the improvements to hearing during conversation or watching the television was just incomparable!! Believe me, any one has (a lack) of hearing problem should try this out before allowing themselves to be ripped of by so called hearing aid specialists. I for one will certainly be acquiring AirPods Pro 2 - because I know for sure that Apple make improvements to their products I am rarely ever disappointed. Just remember folks - there’s more to quality devices than colour, battery stem sizes etc!! Rogerbill77
