Hi,
Just received a note of an upgrade to Airport, version 3.1.1. I have an Airport card in my 15" Powerbook. However, most of the description of this upgrade is about Airport Extreme and its basestation. I do not have any Extreme product. Should I install the Airport upgrade 3.1.1?? can it do any harm. I'm a recent switcher and can recall all the bad things that go along with upgrades.

Thanks.

Frank

A good general statement: "never change a working system"
But, that way you'll never get new features :D

Seriously: Installed it on an iBook (no-Airport extreme), and no problems.

Hi,

>>never change a working system<<

If this were a PC, I'd never change, or add anything. You're asking for trouble.<g>.

Ha ha, correct!
But you needed the latest SP for Winbloze to protect yourself against the MSBlast worm.....

I generally install all the Apple provided software updates for Mac OS X, having complete faith in them. And I can't remember feeling let down by them!
