I plan on buying a couple of airport expresses so I can have airplay around the house.

My question is, I already have an excellent dual band N router as my main router (Asus RT-N56U) with excellent range and speeds that I'm perfectly happy with. Obviously the airport expresses acting as range extenders will only improve that too. Would there be any benefit in replacing my main router with an AirPort Extreme?

Thanks

If you switch to an Airport Extreme or a Time capsule, you should have almost instant operability. The airport utility will see all your airport devices and show you a nice device tree.

One more question:

I have a Bluetooth speaker in my living room. Will AirPlay allow me to play to this speaker as well as an AirPlay one in my bedroom at the same time?

I'd rather keep the Bluetooth speaker than have to buy another AirPort Express to go in the same room as my main router.

Thanks :)

What BT speaker do you have?
