If you mean "Can I plug my 3G dongle into the USB port on the Airport Express and have it work?" the answer would be "no".

The only working configuration I can see is bringing along a crappy laptop computer, hook up your dongle to that, and then connect your crappy laptop to the Airport Express via ethernet.

Netgear has routers that do that, but none of the Apple routers can do that.

If you're traveling with a Mac notebook, you can try using the "Connection Sharing" to share the 3G connection via the Mac's WiFi.

If you just want to be able to share the connection via WiFi then plug the 3G dongle into your computer and share the connection. On a Mac go to system preferences, sharing, internet sharing and select from USB to Airport and setup the network.

I have a dial up connection thanks my town, so I have a 3G dongle that I use to provide an Internet connection to my house (with an unlimited plan, phew!). So basically, a company called Cradlepoint sells routers that you can just plug a 3G dongle into and it connects and just works (once you set up the router like any other normal router). Then, I connect an Ethernet cable from that router into a Time Capsule, and from the Time Capsule, to the other Apple base stations in my house. So this is expensive, but very convenient for ME. However, I obviously wouldn't recommend this for a vacation due to the price.

My friend had this issue where he lived as there was no Broadband internet availible. He has a Imac and an Airport Extreme. He plugged the verizon usb modem into his computer and then ran an ethernet cable from his computer to the WAN port of his airport extreme. Went into System preferences under Sharing and shared his internet via the ethernet cable. Set up a wireless network and broadcasted his Wi-Fi with no problem, Worked like a charm.
