Hiya.

I have got a new Ibook G4 12.1 inch and i have set up an account with BT Openzone for wifi internet.

I have looked on the http://www.btopenzone.co.uk website for the settings for Mac OS X but i cant find them!

does anyone know how i go about setting it up?

If so it would be greatly appriciated.

Im running Mac 10.3.9 (panther)

Thanks

Andrew

You shouldn't really have to do anything since OS X is astonishingly good at finding wifi networks and just working with them.

I've used my Powerbook on BTOpenzone (on both Panther and Tiger) without any extra configuration or settings being needed.

Basically, make sure your Location (under Apple Menu) is set to Automatic. Go to the hotspot, open your iBook and it should pop up to tell you that there's a BT Openzone network and do you want to join it. Tell it 'yes' and ask it to remember it.

Next open up Safari (or try going to any webpage if already open). You'll be redirected to a BT Openzone log-in page. Type in your username and password and you should be online...

Btw, Openzone have sharing networks with Tmobile and The Cloud. You'll need to remember though to put @btopenzone after your username when you use their networks.

Hiya,

Thanks for that, i got it working and the only problem was the Openzone password wasnt reconised, so rang them and they changed it and then it worked!

It connected to 'MyCloud'

Thanks Mate,

Andy
