Airport issues

Hi all. I have a MBP CD here that keeps loosing it's airport connection. I have an n-only and a bg wifi here, and my neighbor has a g network. When I loose connection I can't see any networks. I've tried waiting, I've tried turning airport off, then on again, nothing brings it back except restarting the system. Any ideas?
