Hi all,
My problem is the AirPort on my 24" white iMac seems to go to "sleep" when using the internet. For example I would be using Safari surfing the web then I would go to a new page/or website and suddenly Safari would just sit there doing nothing (Same with Firefox and Opera). So I move my mouse over to the AirPort symbol at the top, turn it off and then turn it back on and Safari continues my request to the new page/site.
Also when I just click on the AirPort icon and the drop down menu appears, the "Airport: On" switches between "On" and "looking for networks".
The wireless router - Linskys by Cisco WAG160N - which is downstairs from my iMac. Now my dads PC with the USB Linksys dongle in the next room to me is fine. I have even had my iMac in the same room as the router and still the same problem.
Is the problem a router problem, iMac/AirPort problem or something else?
Thank you
