Hi,

I have had my iMac for roughly a year and a half. I currently do not use a router, i know i need to change that, especially for security reasons. Anyway, the airport/wireless has always worked but recently for maybe the past month it has failed to connect, i am wandering if there is a way i can check to see what's gone wrong? or any instructions/tips to help me figure this out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you're not using a router, how are you connecting to the internet? Or, do you mean you're connecting to the internet using an ethernet cable directly from your cable modem/dsl modem to your iMac?

I would think a powercycle might help, reboot your modem and then see if that helps. Let it sit for about 30 seconds before you power it back on.

Hi Pilot, thanks for responding, yes that is correct - i connect using an ethernet to the cable modem.

I have tried to power cycle, no luck yet.
