airport question

Hi everyone, I have the current powerbook and airport extreme base station and today for some reason my airport keeps going off. I'm sitting right next to it and I don't have all the bars on my screen. Usually I can get on it from anywhere in the house and also I can get my neighbors. Now I see his but then it disappears, and mine is barely there. Did I do something to it or is it common for it to just not work one day? Its weird. i watch it and the bars go from 4 to 2 then to 4 and all the lights on the airport extreme base station are on, they are flickering like its working hard though hehe. I don't understand why its having such a hard time when I'm about a foot away from it right now. Any ideas?

Have you upgraded to the latest firmware? Tried changing the channel?
