I recently got a wireless router, and created my own network. But everyone once in a while it switches to another network (not mine) called "default" so I have to switch back (this happens when I am online); and it also picks up a few other networks around my neighborhood. Is there a way to delete/stop these other networks for coming on to my Mac or do I just have to live with it?

In the Network preference pane you can turn off Automatic joining and remove other networks you've happened upon.

What's the SSID of your network if you keep joining another one?

Sure. Do this:

System Prefs > Network > Airport, then configure

Select "By default, join: Preferred networks"

Hit the "+" sign, and add ONLY your network. If there is anything else there, remove it via the "-" sign. This will tell your computer to join only that network(s) you tell it to.
