AirPrint Killed Again?

After updating to iOS 5, and MacOS 10.7.2, I can no longer AirPrint to my Brother MFC-9840 (laser multifunction), which is on my wifi and shared via my iMac. I noticed that the three files contained in the "fix" were changed, so I restored them to the way they were yesterday. The iPhone still can't find a printer.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any workarounds?

Yup- They Killed It

I upgraded to ios5 on my ipad - like you said, no airprint printers are available using the airprint 'hack'. I have a Brother as well.

I have not upgraded yet on my iphone4- airprint hack still works!

Who has a fix! :eek:
 
I am using AirPrint activate with a HP laserprinter and an iPhone 4 on iOS 5 and it is working perfect.
 
Airprint Activator- I believe that's for Mac. I'm 'serving' the printer thru a PC .



otherwise, iOs5 seems amazing- safari is a huge +

Is AirPrint Activator version 2.1b2 just for MAC?
Or is there a Windows version?

Can you provide the link for the Windows version if one exists?

I was wrong--it doesn't work for me :( (I thought my phone printed, but it was actually my computer).

I think AirPrint Activator is Mac only, but I could be wrong.

I'm using the free trial version of Printopia now, and it seems to work great. I think that is also Mac only.
 
Nope, doesn't work for me on my iphone 4 IOS 5. Printer doesn't even show up anymore :( I am sure it will be fixed eventually.
 
Working here on my HP Photosmart Plus B210.

I have historically had issues with AirPrint, much like Time Machine. It seems like half of the time it simply doesn't want to find the printer. In the past I have remedied this by restarting both the device and the printer.

It has a ways to go to being as seamless as expected.
 
Works here too

I actually just downloaded the latest version for the first time and it works flawlessly.
 
I don't believe there are any working Windows Print Activators with Ios 5.....I refuse to buy a new printer for this. This is exactly what Apple wants me to do :(
 
Airprint Activator for Lion 10.7.2 does work. At first it didn't, but went back into the app on my mac and turned it off and then back on, and then it found my printer again. Only works through wifi, so make sure you have wifi turned on in your iphone.

I tried it on 10.7.2 and it found the printer but when I sent a print job from my iPhone 4 it just stacked a bunch of jobs in the phones print queue and never made it to the printer.

Then it drained my battery all morning before I figured out that it was trying to locate my printer at home :p

It looks neat and I wish I would have found it sooner. Hoping that a fix is found for it.

I did the same thing. Ink was half the total price of the printer.
