lol the OP was referring to the basic white Macbook which is now removed. something interesting i found is that they even removed it from the main page of the refurbished section, although it is still available for refurb sale.
I'm not sure why anyone is surprised. If I had a dime for every time that Steve or the marketing materials said that the Airs are "the future of notebooks" I could buy an Air without spending any of my own money.
I think we're going to see some interesting changes next time around on the Pros to match.
They show CPU tasks and try to imply with iPhoto and such that the GPU is 2x faster. Marketing is such a game of misinformation. That is why I don't think people should consider these without reading some real user reviews - people who don't get paid money and who aren't reporting as fans but objectively reporting differences.
