Airtunes Express problems at uni!

Hi, this is my first time here so please be gentle!...

basically i have a powerbook g4 1.5ghz 17"..AND I LOVE IT..the second i touched apple (a year ago) i knew windows had f all on it...

anyway down to the issue... my airport express works perfect..at home and at uni where they have firewalls up..and all i had to do was register my powerbook and airport mac address and they both work perfect at uni..the problem is this..

the uni has a p2p software named dc++ which works like a p2p and offers transfer rates up to 1.5mb/s. when NOT using my airport express i can easily download stuff from this p2p and people can easliy upload from me. the trouble starts if i try to use my airport express!

what happens is that people can still upload from me easy... but i cant download!! well i can..but that is inly possible if the person i am trying to d/l off at the same second as me clicks to upload off me when i try to connect and d/l off them (sounds confusing i know!)

please could someone offer me a solution to this? PLEASE!! i love wireless internet and it a shame i cant use it properly at uni!

Can you clarify a little bit? Do you have an ethernet cable plugged into your computer and then you're connected to airtunes as well? If that's the case try plugging the ethernet cable into your airport express. I have wifi at home and an ethernet connection at school, and whenever I come back to school I forget to turn off airport and I get connected to some other wireless network that's really slow.

hi, and thanks for your reply...basially when i was referring to not using airport i was referring to the ethernet cable being in my powerbook and when i am using it it is in my aiport express and when it is in my airport express that is when the trouble of not being able to d/l but others being to u/l off me happens
