Airtunes, no internet and iPhone

I'm going on vacation. I want to bring my express and MBP to set up airtunes using the speakers at the condo. However, I want to be able to control it with my iphone. Will the Remote App work without an internet connection? if I set up a network on the airtunes will i be able to connect to that and control it?

The Remote app does not play the music on the iPhone. It acts as a remote for an iTunes library. So, unless you are bringing a computer with you, the remote app will be useless.

Yes, this will work. You'll essentially be creating a network with the Airport Express. Doesn't matter that it isn't connected to the internet. Enjoy your vacation.
