Hi everyone, I installed Aldente to stop my battery charging past 70% and at first it did work.

However, at the moment my battery is sitting at 84% although it does say battery is not charging. I checked the Aldente settings and it is still at 70%.

Any idea how to get it working again as I am trying to do this to prolong my battery life as it had quite a high battery wear from not that many cycles.

It will go above set value if machine is shut down or during an OS update for example You can set it to "automatically discharge" to deal with this when it happens, or you can "discharge now" manually if auto is not set.

I see, I believe it was after an OS update that it stopped working so that could have well been the cause, thank you for your help.
In addition to @Mike Boreham suggestion, verify you have Apple’s optimized battery charging disabled in Battery settings.
I didn't realise I had to do this either, I have switched it off now so lets hope it stays working. Thank you for your help as well.

Hello! I don't know if you can help me. But I bought the license so that even when I'm connected the battery will discharge. With this option it only lets me up to 20%. Well, I've been using it for a while and there's no way to get it to discharge. It's still at 100%, although the icon that says it's plugged in doesn't appear, but it doesn't go below 100% either. Any ideas? Thanks.

Not sure I understand. That screen shot looks like max charge is set to 20%. Clicking the bar which says "Descargar - " should cause it to discharge to 20%. Alternatively there is a setting which will cause it to discharge to the set amount automatically.

20% is an odd number to set as max.

Thanks for answering. I want to configure that even if it is connected, the battery does not charge (since I use it with a USB C monitor that charges the laptop at the same time). Sefun, the manual is set so that it discharges up to 20%, that is why "-" is selected, but I don't know if it fails because the battery was actually still at 100%.

I am afraid I can’t relate what you say to my own setup which also charges via a monitor. AlDente on my Mac automatically dscharges to below my set max of 60% if it goes over that for any reason. I suggest you contact Al Dente Support. You can post issues here or email them.
