Alarm Clock Badge on Recently Used Apps Icon in Dock

On my iPad Pro running iOS 11 beta 2, one of the recently used app icons on the right hand side of my dock (MS OneNote) is appearing with a grey alarm clock badge in the top right corner, something I've not seen before. Anyone know what this means?

The app icon also seems to be stuck there, it doesn't get replaced as other apps are used, so maybe it's a 'most frequently used' app (I use OneNote a lot). In fact there doesn't seem to be any way at all for me to remove it, even if I long-press and X it, select "remove from dock" then it's still there, but the same goes for the other icons on the dock anyway.

It means it’s open on another device signed into with the same Apple ID.
That’s how Continuity works on iPad in iOS 11. It now perfectly matches the experience on macOS.
The only part that’s mildly confusing me: The grey badge should indicate what device... like a little vertical grey rectangle to indicate “iPhone”; if you say the badge more resembles an alarm clock to you, perhaps it’s indicating you have that App active on Watch?

I bet that’s it- Continuity appplies the Apple Watch as well.

No, I don't think it's anything to do with Continuity (that badge appears top left IIRC doesn't it?) - besides, I'm not running OneNote on any other device at the same time.

Besides, an alarm clock seems an unlikely icon choice to represent Continuity.

Yeah... same location- but this is what I was talking about.
You must have an impending alarm related to One Note or something?
It persisting in the recently open area, even if it wasn’t recently open is what cries “Continuity” though...
Those are the only apps I’m aware of that show up in that space unbidden.

I’ve been trying to figure this out too. I have the same alarm clock symbol regularly show on a game in my dock. There are no alarms or watch apps associated with it. I can’t figure it out.
I do think it has something to do with continuity though. I run the game on multiple iPads and iPhones.

This "alarm clock" badge is a siri suggestion when you have frequently run the app during a specific time.

It keeps showing up for me even though I have siri turned off. It only happens with words with friends

Mine wasn’t with OneNote or Words with Friends but with Plex.

Headphone icon means you use the app regularly when headphones are plugged in/bluetoothed. So when you next plug in headphones, it makes the suggestion

[doublepost=1520936882][/doublepost]I had the same problem and on the Apple forums Apple said there was nothing you could currently do , but... I turned off Siri and it disappeared. So it seems you would have to disable Siri for this to stop.

I never had Siri turned on at all. I never used that feature. Still have the same problem. Weird. Glad you got rid of it though.
