Running iOS 11.1.2 on my new iPhone X.
No matter what volume I set my phone to each night, the volume of my alarm each morning seems to be at maximum. Even shifting the volume down to around 50% still yields an alarm volume of 100%

Any ideas how to fix this as, my god, that shock in the morning is not good for my health! haha!

i can confirm that adjusting the volume slider in Settings>Sounds & Haptics DOES affect the volume of the alarm set in the clock app
this was on a 7+ ios 11.2b4

Also note the setting in that area for "Change with Buttons", which, when On, allows you to use the volume up/down buttons to change the ringer and alarm volume, and when Off, makes it so that the volume up/down buttons will never adjust the ringer and alarm volume (and then the volume setting in that area is always used for these instead).

I have "Change with Buttons" set to Off and have the volume in that settings area set to about half way, which means that regardless of how I have the system volume set the ringer and alarm volume will always be the same (so I don't accidentally turn it down and forget that I did).

Thanks guys! All fixed and sorted. Waking up this morning wasn't so much of a pain :)
