Alarm volume super low but volume settings turned all the way up

I am having a problem with my alarm volume. I have the ringer and volume settings turned all the way up but when my alarm goes off the volume is super low. I can’t figure out any way to adjust this and it’s frustrating. I’ve restarted the phone but nothing. Any suggestions?

iPhone X/XS? If so, and you're looking at the phone, it's by design. Settings>Face ID & Passcode>Attention-Aware Features.

Aha that’s it, thanks. When I wasn’t looking at the phone it was at full volume.
