Anybody have any idea why the majority of the album artwork for my music is wrong on my iPhone, but just fine in iTunes? It was fine until I upgraded to 14.3. It seems to be pretty random, with multiple albums and playlists using one of several wrong album artworks. I can't figure it out at all. Any suggestions?

Josh

Is the actual content of the albums still correct? Many albums have been issued multiple times. If your iTunes is set up to reflect the artwork for your albums exactly as you purchased them (which is how I have my Music library set up), then the iPhone Music display is probably not going to reflect that in all cases.

The content is correct. The artwork is for different artists/albums. All of my playlists use the same artwork for an album that is in none of the playlists, and other albums have different artists showing for the artwork. It's nothing more than an annoyance, but a really big annoyance. LOL

I have the same issue. I just upgraded to an iphone 12 Pro because I can fit all c12,000 tracks on it lossless. After copying all the usual data and apps from my old X across, including latest OS update, I deleted the old music playlist and copied across all tracks. The album artwork is a mess. Some correct. A lot of mass repetitions where several albums in a row have the same cover. Very odd.

I do not and have never used the Apple Music service - music is 95% ripped from CD and 5% downloaded from iTunes or other sites. The odd CD I've added the artwork myself if the artwork wasn't available.

It is really bizarre. And downloading 12,000 tracks takes a non-trivial amount of time.

My issue still hasn't been corrected. I've removed all music and added it back. Still screwed up. It happens to both music I've ripped from CDs and music purchased from iTunes. I've tried removing all artwork and adding it back as well. No go.

OK - mine is now OK after another attempt to add the music.

What I did...

a) Checked all the forums, Apple, here, general google - small number of instances but no definite fix.

b) Turned the phone off and on again. Twice, Un-ironically.

c) Deleted all the music (sob)

d) Re-downloaded (cross-loaded?) the music from Mac to iPhone - SUCCESS!

Just magically right - but it took two goes? And I checked all the forums etc before doing it again because it takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to do each.

So - sorry Josh. But I've seem to have done what you have and succeeded.

Today my Apple watch is all <sigh> well, you didn't complete your rings yesterday <tut>, are you REALLY dedicated to your fitness? <sad look> We need to work on this....

WELL IF IT DIDN'T TAKE ALL DAY TO SWAP PHONES THAT 'JUST WORK' I MIGHT HAVE SPENT A BIT MORE TIME ON MY ROWING MACHINE, OK?

Why am i wearing a huge guilt trip on my wrist? Does this really make me happy? Maybe if I got a new stretchy band for it - then it will stop be so judge-y all the time?

Jonathan

PS I think this is my first post since the original iPad came out.
