Hello, I just downloaded paid version of AlDente. My Macbook Pro is plugged in 24/7 and very rarely used on battery; id say almost never. Any idea what settings i should use for AlDente? Thanks, Bill

I'm keeping mine at 80%. That's more than enough power for the few times I'm not near an outlet or don't want to dig the charger out of the bag.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I figured my question isn't worthy of its own discussion.

I've been using Al Dente Free for quite a few months with my late 2017 MacBook Pro. I am aware that only the Pro version is supposed to work while the Mac is sleeping, but up until now I have always found that the free version worked for me in sleep mode. Just recently it has become a bit unreliable in this regard, and sometimes I wake the computer to find it has fully charged.

This is obviously not a complaint, as the literature clearly says that the free software doesn't inhibit charging during sleep. I'm happy to upgrade to the paid version if necessary but I thought it curious that sometimes it works in sleep and sometimes it doesn't. Particularly as for the longest time it was 100% reliable. Any thoughts or opinions to share before I upgrade?

I just installed AlDente yesterday on my 16" M1 MacBook Pro and ran the Calibration routine. I have it set at 70% max, but it is back up to 100%?

I am plugged in 100% of the time.

Yep, it will charge to 100% sleeping. You need to turn those options on - or when your laptop sleeps it will charge to 100% so you have to either discharge it or unplug it when sleeping.

I prefer to turn on the options:
