Alert sounds not working?

I purchased an alert sound from the iTunes store, assigned it as my default text tone and now nothing rings when I receive a new text. All other sound works perfectly. When i change the alert sound back to tri tone it works again. Any ideas? I really want R2-D2 to alert me when I have a new text!

Same problem here. I purchased a new text tone last night and strangely my phone has been very quiet. Just noticed I have multiple texts. Switched back to "bell" and it works. Switched back to purchased tone and it doesn't.

Just performed a test.

I changed to another purchased tone and it works. So, I'm wondering if there is something wrong with certain purchased tones???

Oddly the tone is working perfectly now. The only thin I did was hard reboot my iPhone.

Thats the one thing I didn't try. Rebooted iPhone and all is good. Thanks!!
