I am trying to use an alias to send my more professional mail, and I noticed that when I set it up, it is forcing me to use an @mac.com address. Then it will not send it, saying "Sending the message content to the server failed"

Is it because it is trying to use an @mac address rather than an @me address?

Did you sign up for MobileMe before or after the .Mac to .Me transition?

If so, you will want to use me.com

I started with MobileMe as a .mac user so when it switched, I automatically had the .mac email. I did not try to add an alias until it was.me, though, and now it won't let me choose a .me alias. The only ending when I am picking a name is .mac.
