Seems like a reasonable possibility. The mini's do for a small face uplift and I can't think of an easier/more environmentally friendly way to do it.

All Aluminum Case to Accompany Next Mac Mini Update?

90% of the case is already aluminum
The bottom is a mix of plastic and steel and the top panel is plastic with a metal backing. I suppose they could, but as it already matches the rest of the line (sort of) I wouldn't hold my breath - unless - thay make it bigger to match the
TV footprint.

Not sure. The iMacs have been the only Macs to get a facelift recently and that's for over two years now.
