All badges stop showing

I’m getting an issue where all motivation badges stop showing (unread messages, emails, alerts on various apps) on all apps. I have to restart the phone to get them back. There also seems to be an issue with messages not sending that could or could not be related.

iPhone 16 pro with 18.1.1 (latest) iOS.

I am experiencing exactly the same thing. Look and see no badge - indicating unread emails - on the iPhone running 18.1.1, open the Mail.app and see 12 unread emails. Apple giveth...and Apple taketh away. Blessed be the name of Apple.

Maybe we'll get it back with 18.1.2?

There seems to be an issue where my phone is randomly deciding to go into do not disturb. That’s the reason for the badges missing. I’ve turned it off, but unclear if I did something or it’s the phone.

Will report back, but worth checking if you have it on as well.
