All Calendar Entries Gone

I updated my wife's iPhone and set up an iCloud account for her, but it didn't transfer or save any of her calendar entries... What did I do wrong, is there a way to pull them back up?

It happened after that, it has been on iOS 5 since the GM was released. Just tried to set up our iCloud's so we can share calendars and everything just got so messed up. I accidentally deleted the wrong calendar on mine and now all mine are gone.

This is so fail. We will just start from scratch...
