Ok thanks. I am not a big fan of granting a third party app access my calendar, so trying to find a way to overcome this limitation of the stock calendar app. But will definitely try your suggestion once.
Yes it shows all day events on the day of event on calendar widget. But the issue is that it does not show the same event a day or two before (upcoming events) in the up next widget.
Yes exactly. The calendar widget starts showing that once you have calendar app viewed in schedule view. But the up next widget just never shows all day events. It only displays meetings.
I see, yeah, essentially the only workable solution for looking ahead seems to have been and still be a third party widget that supports that.
Been using it for ages now and never had an issue. I found it via this forum as well. To do what you want to do a third party app is required.
Yeah, unfortunately that's the case even these days, and more so before iOS 10 when the Calendar widget didn't even show all day events. I've been using the Events Widget for a while myself until a newer more updated Agenda: Widget+ came out.
I'm not really a fan of sharing calendar/reminder information with third parties, but I do find the ability to quickly see a day or so ahead when it comes to my calendar and reminders (as well as being able to see full day events) a useful enough of a tradeoff.
And they have a companion Reminders+ widget as well (which can be installed separately). I was waiting for Events Widget to be updated for iOS 10, but Agenda: Widget+ has been an even better replacement in a sense.
Well, it still does what it was meant to do and still works fine, but certainly hasn't been updated to iOS 10 widget design, and no new features are added (or bugs fixed, not that I really ran into any issues). I guess the good thing is that there is at last one fairly good alternative now.
