Anyone else experiencing issues opening Mail? Only problem I've encountered so far but can't get it to launch no way, no how...

Yes same here. At first Mail startet and was usable. But after a Restart it just displays the Window mit its not populated. Messages the same, just bouncing…

Other posts suggest deleting/disabling Mail accounts in Sys Prefs / Internet Accounts, then opening Mail and re-adding them. Another thing to try would be deleting the preferences file (com.apple.mail.plist).

Your first suggestion worked, thank you, and the culprit account appears to be Hotmail, which I embarrassingly still use sometimes.

I just had this problem, had me foxed. I ran etrecheck from the Spyglass and removed some ancient software.
Restarted and up came mail.
I’ve seen this before.
Any software that is even remotely suspect or old will cause all sorts of problems.
Finder was not starting either.

I’m having this issue quite often on a brand new Mac m1, so far this Mac seems buggy as hell, no way was this ready for release
